About Joanna’s Career

Joanna joined the Washington, DC office of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP in 2008 after graduating from Harvard Law School. She is an associate in the Securities Department, a member of the Investment Management Practice Group and the co-author of several securities law articles.

Prior to joining the firm, Joanna was a student attorney for the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, where she served as lead counsel representing clients in family law matters in Boston-area courts. She has also completed internships with the African Development Bank in Tunisia, the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Kings County District Attorney’s Office and the Suffolk County Department of Social Services in New York. Representative experience includes drafting and preparing legal memoranda in both English and French, supporting negotiations with the National Endowment for the Arts and assisting New York ADAs on court appearances.
