James (Jamie) Corning returns to Law Preview as a successful graduate of the program. He is a commercial litigator in the Seattle office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, where he concentrates his practice on complex class-action defense, antitrust, intellectual property, consumer protection, contract disputes, and government investigations. Jamie earned his B.A. from the University of Washington and graduated first in his class from Seattle University School of Law, where he served as the inaugural Electronic Development Editor for the Seattle University Law Review. Following graduation, Jamie clerked for Judge Edward F. Shea of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. He is a volunteer clinic attorney with the Housing Justice Project, and in his spare time, he coaches the National Moot Court and National Appellate Advocacy Competition teams at Seattle University. Before pursuing a legal career, Jamie worked for nearly a decade as a software engineer and program manager for business intelligence initiatives at Microsoft and other technology companies.
