Elizabeth Ewert is the Associate Dean of Students at The George Washington University Law School. Prior to her work at GW, Elizabeth was the Director of Academic Enhancement Programs and an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown Law School, where she taught an upper level course called Writing for Law Practice and an Externship seminar, and taught on topics regarding academic preparation and lawyering identity within the co-curricular 1L 101, Lawyers in Balance, Search Before the Search and 1L Leadership Academy programs. Additionally, Elizabeth previously taught Legal Research and Writing and Introduction to Advocacy at GW. In her teaching, Elizabeth includes professional best practices for receiving feedback, having difficult conversations, cultivating a growth mindset, and being persuasive. Prior to joining academia, Elizabeth was a partner at the firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, the culmination of 18 years of products liability, False Claims Act, and other complex civil litigation experience in San Francisco and Washington, DC.
