John Hasnas is a professor of business and law at Georgetown University and the executive director of the Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets and Ethics. Professor Hasnas received his JD and PhD in philosophy from Duke University and his LLM in legal education from Temple University School of Law. He teaches Torts at the Georgetown Law Center and Ethics at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business. Professor Hasnas has been a visiting scholar at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics in Washington, DC and the Social Philosophy and Policy Center in Bowling Green, Ohio. His scholarship concerns ethics and white collar crime, jurisprudence, and legal history.
