About Professor Ryan’s Career
Professor Ryan attended Law Preview in 2001 before starting at USC School of Law where she excelled and was a Senior Editor of the USC Law Review and a Legal Writing Fellow. After graduation, she worked for a year as an associate with the firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, representing defendants in white-collar criminal litigation and internal investigations.
In 2006, Professor Ryan returned to USC Law where she was first appointed as Director of Student Affairs and Academic Support, and went on to serve as Assistant Dean and Dean of Students, and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law. Then, in 2010, Professor Ryan joined the faculty of Southwestern Law School. As Director of Academic Support and Bar-Related Programs at Southwestern, she has primary responsibility for designing and implementing innovative academic support programs, courses and individual and small group counseling sessions, and designing and assisting with bar exam preparation classes, workshops and events.
