Law Preview KarmicKash application

The need

Food Insecurity in the United States

Given the economic crisis that has gripped our nation, food insecurity has become a very real problem for millions of Americans. Today, approximately 4 in 10 people visiting food banks had never before needed food assistance and most food banks have seen the demand for their services rise more than 60% during 2020.

The dramatic increase in food insecurity has stretched food banks’ resources thin – all while they themselves have seen donations drop, volunteers quit, and cash reserves dwindle.

Entering Law Students

Students - especially those who are about to enter law school - are not immune from the economic crisis and have been hit especially hard by record unemployment.

Despite a strong desire to prepare for their all-important 1L year by attending BARBRI Law Preview’s law school prep course, many students simply lack the financial resources to attend our program.
